Les recherches de Valentine Roux portent sur les processus des changements céramiques dans le Levant Sud et Nord entre le 5e et le second millénaire avant notre ère. Leur étude est menée à une échelle macro-régionale à partir d’une analyse technologique des assemblages céramiques. Leur compréhension en termes de mécanismes évolutifs fait appel à des référentiels actualistes constitués auprès de potiers du nord-ouest de l’Inde. Par ailleurs, elle mène des recherches sur les modes d’éditions scientifiques et la constitution de bases de connaissances à travers le projet Arkeotek (www.arkeotek.org).

My researches are about processes of ceramic changes in the Southern and Northern Levant between the 5th and the 2nd millennium BC. Their study is conducted at the macro-regional scale through a technological analysis of ceramic assemblages. Their understanding in terms of evolutionary mechanisms calls upon actualist reference case studies analysed and carried out among Indian potters. In addition, I conduct researches on electronic publications and the constitution of knowledge bases through the Arkeotek project (www.arkeotek.org).
